If theme parks are your thing, you’ve come to the right place. Here is a list of them with links to find out more.

One word of caution though, don’t try to do them all. You’ll need another vacation after! It can be a bit overwhelming, one piece of avice we give is don’t get off a plane and hit the parks the next day. Have a day or two by the pool to get aclimatised.

This is where it all started back in 1971. The Original and some would say, still the best. Each time you visit the Magic Kingdom, childhood fantasies become reality, fairy tales come to life, kids and adults of all ages discover the excitement of pure Disney magic. When you walk away you will find yourself humming a tune or two.

Here you can discover the wonders of the world, feel the force of a space launch with Disney's newest ride Mission Space or experience the speed of Test Track. If that's not enough you can explore the world in a day, well almost. World Showcase allows you to experience eleven cultures and cuisine's, you can literally eat your way around the world. End your day with the spectacular firework display, every night at 9.00pm.

A fun filled park with creatures real and fantastic, from an incredible blast through flaming meteors and ferocious dinosaurs, to a crazy twisting romp through time on a spinning roller coaster where every turn brings unexpected wonders on rides such as Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl. If that's not enough why not venture out on safari across 110 acres of African Savannah to encounter freely roaming wildlife. Ride on the Kali River Rapids, but remember to take a change of clothes, you will get wet!

Busch Gardens (Craigs personal favourite!) is at Tampa Bay, about a 50 minute drive. Here you can experience some amazing rides like the Montu and the Kumba but also at the same time experience one of the country's premier zoos. You can see animals like the white tigers, gorillas plus all the normal animals you would find in a zoo. You can also have fun on any one of the water rides but a word of warning, take a change of clothing cos your gonna get wet!

If the budget allows it, this is a park that is well worth visiting. Access is limited to 1000 visitors a day and is by reservation only. Here you will have the rare opportunity to swim with beautiful bottlenose dolphins, snorkel amongst thousands of exotic fish and giant stingrays, swim in an aviary of tropical birds or just simply soak up the sun on the sandy beach. You come away from this park with a feeling that will certainly have a lasting effect and leave you with plenty of memories.

Not only are you observing marine life, you are part of it. Touch stingrays, meet Shamu, see up close the Beluga whales and take a stroll down to Dolphin Cove and Pacific Point Reserve where you can feed the dolphins and sea lions. If that's not enough, for those of you who like to take in the thrills of the rides you can experience rides like the Kraken and Journey to Atlantis, you will get wet!

Cypress Gardens enters the millennium with traditional grace and grandeur. The charm of the 'old south' comes alive with new highlights for this year. see over 1,000 free-flying butterflies.

Orlando's Best Half Day Attraction located in sunny Central Florida! Known internationally as the Alligator Capital of the World, Gatorland is a 110-acre alligator theme park and wildlife preserve. Gatorland has been a vacation destination for millions of visitors from all over the world with its incredible display of huge alligators and crocodiles, children’s water park, train ride, aviary, breeding marsh and bird sanctuary, petting zoo, nature walk, gift shop, and one-of-a-kind shows such as the world famous Gator Jumparoo. So c'mon inside... your adventure awaits!

Here you can experience the past, present and the future. See where it all started way back in the 1960's firstly with the Mercury programme which saw the first manned space craft to orbit the Earth, followed by Project Gemini where Astronauts walked and worked in space for the first time. Then that all famous Apollo programme which saw the first man on the moon. If the past is not want you want to see, then you can learn about the present day shuttle programme and find out what the future holds for space transport. Well worth a day out.

A great park especially if you like the thrill of the big rides. There are five islands each with it's own theme, thrills and non-stop adventure. There is something for everyone from Dr Seuss for the very young, to Jurassic Park for the more daring to Toon Lagoon for those of you who love to have fun and get wet. Here you will find our favourite ride Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges, no escaping here you most defiantly will get wet!

Step onto Hollywood Boulevard, the only place where big-screen thrills, TV fun and the best of Broadway come together. Scream as you fall out of control through 13 floors of fear, on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Blast 0 - 60 mph in 2.8 secs as the music of Aerosmith rocks you through a wild, twisting roller coaster. Step back in time on the Great Movie ride in the Chinese Theatre, which takes you through those big time classic movies.

See Planet Hollywood with all the great movie memorabilia. Sit and gaze at some of the fantastic movie props that hang from every wall while you eat your meal. You may even see one of the famous owners and their Hollywood friends.

This is the number one movie and TV based theme park in the world. Not only is it a real working film and TV production studio it has some amazing rides and shows. The newest ride is the Revenge of the Mummy. Plunge into total darkness, plagued on all sides by huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of rotting warrior mummies. For the younger one's you can enjoy the likes of Shrek 4-D, ET, Jimmy Neutron and Barney, plus many others. Also experience rides such as Men in Black, Back to the Future, Twister, Earthquake and JAWS. This park has a real movie feel to it.

By day and night this place is filled with fun. You can shop, eat, visit the cinema or just party. Here not only will you find Disney's largest store which has something for everyone, you can find a number of other shops including Virgin Mega store. If you want to pass the time you can enjoy the 24 screen AMC theatre complex, the largest in the Southeast of America. Discover Disney Quest the first ever indoor interactive theme park, and see the daring artistry and acrobatics of Circque du Soleil. If that's not enough visit Disney's Pleasure Island, there's live entertainment every night of the week.

A sport's lover's paradise. This is the place to train, compete, take in a game or even play. Here you can challenge the multi sports experience and test your skills in football, basketball and baseball. After all that hard work why not take time out at the official All Star Cafe, the famed sports dining landmark with gigantic eight-foot screens and athletic memorabilia. This is the place to catch some of the world's top professional and amateur athletes at their best. This is the spring training home for the world famous American baseball team the Atlanta Braves.

This is Universal's equivalent to Disney's Pleasure Island. It has bars, clubs, shops, restaurants all the excitement of the city neatly wrapped up into one 30 acre package. You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your way into the parks, have lunch or enjoy dinner and a movie, then party into the small hours of the morning.

Water Parks

There’s plenty of fun to be had at the many water parks in the area.

Billed as the worlds premier water park, features a full-day of fun for the entire family. WetnWild's world-class signature thrill rides and quality service offer something for fun-lovers of all ages.

Thrill or chill at Disney's Blizzard Beach, it's up to you. Float around on the lazy river, relax on the sandy beach or ride some of the tallest and fastest water slides.

If Blizzard Beach is not your cup of tea, why not head over to Typhoon Lagoon. Here you can enjoy island life as you body-surf in one of the largest man made wave pools, snorkel with real live sharks or just simply relax on the beach.
