The Beaches
If you decide you need a break from the theme parks and a day at the beach is in order the first thing to decide is East (Atlantic Coast) or West (Gulf Coast).
Cocoa Beach is great on the Atlantic coast, world renowned for great waves for surfing.
For accessibility and familly fun, our favourite is St Pete’s. St Pete’s has the best beach in America! Fort De Soto Park's North Beach, was ranked the #1 beach in the nation in 2005 by “Dr Beach”. Download the PDF below if you are really getting into this!
The Clearwater/St Pete’s area is about 90 minutes from the villa. Go right on Highway 27 then pick up I4 West towards Tampa. There’s a huge range of beaches to visit here including the #1. Check out the links below for more information to plan your day. St Pete’s pier is a fab place to visit as well.
Remember also that there’s a PC at the house with Internet access, so you can plan the day before you go if you like.
