Flight Information
If travelling from the UK, there’s several options available to you with flights to Orlando from most major UK airports. Our US based guests have even more services to choose from. One piece of advice we’d give based on our experience is to avoid connecting flights via US hubs such as Chicago. Not that we have anything against Chicago, its just very tiring and stressful making connections especially when small kids are involved. Winter weather in Northern USA can also make these options really challenging.
When deciding which airport to arrive into, there are several options:
Orlando International Airport . Travel time is about 40 minutes and 30 miles, serviced by both BA and Virgin
Sandford International Airport Travel time is about 1 hour and 50 miles serviced by lots of the charter airlines and regional services.
Tampa International Airport. Travel time is about 1hour 30 minutes and 70 miles. Only serviced by British Airways direct but United, Delta and American fly in to Tampa through various hubs.
In terms of airlines from the UK, again there’s lots to choose from, ranging from the obvious choice of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic through to carriers like Travel city direct.
